Choosing the right image size to enlarge

A digital image is composed of dots or pixels arranged in rows and columns. The higher the number of megapixels your camera is able to shoot the better your enlargement will be. The best images are TIF or a low compression JPG. We cannot use RAW files, but you can shoot these yourselves and then convert to tif.

Whilst we can enlarge any image to a poster size, more megapixels and no compression yield the sharpest results.

Whether you use Microsoft Office, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Freehand, Quark or Corel Draw - all you need do is convert the poster to PDF* using Adobe Acrobat or one of the many free PDF makers online, try:

Scanned Images

National Poster Prints can offer a quality scanning service using your photographic colour or black & white prints. We cannot use negatives at all. For pricing please see Photo Scanning/Fix on the main category menu.

If you need an image retouched, please contact us for more information. It would be best if you could scan small version and send it to us to review on screen - this will make the costing more accurate.

To order scanning, simply add one item of scanning to the cart, then go the cart and adjust the number of scans required.
